Outstanding Dietitian of the Year – Kimberly J. Young, MS, RDN, LD
The Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics proudly recognizes, Kimberly J. Young, MS, RDN, LD, as the 2025 Outstanding Dietitian of the Year. This Award recognizes members who have demonstrated leadership in the affiliate or employment through research, education, management, or legislation. Recipients of this Award have also served as outstanding role models of professionalism and as a source of inspiration to others in nutrition and dietetics.
Emerging Dietetic Leader – Whitney M. Beck, RD, LD, CD
The Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics proudly recognizes Whitney M. Beck RD, LD, CD, as the 2025 Emerging Dietetic Leader. This Award recognizes members who have demonstrated initiative and leadership in the affiliate or employment through research, education, management, or legislation. Recipients of this Award are recognized for their strong leadership skills, regardless of their age, who are at the beginning of their dietetics careers.
Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year – Anne H. Brock, MOL, RDN, LD
The Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics proudly recognizes Anne H. Brock, MOL, RDN, LD, as the 2025 Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year. This Award recognizes members 35 years and younger who have demonstrated leadership in the affiliate or employment through research, education, management, or legislation. Recipients of this Award have also demonstrated concern for promoting the population’s optimal health and nutritional status.
Idaho Academy Lifetime Achievement Award – Barbara J. Gordon, EdD, MBA, RDN
The Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics proudly recognizes, Barbara J. Gordon, EdD, MBA, RDN, FAND, as the 2025 Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. is the highest honor the Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics bestows on one of its members. The Award honors an Idaho Academy member who has contributed to the profession through extensive, active participation and service to the profession of nutrition and dietetics.
Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Service Award – Jennifer J. Beazer, MPH, RDN, LD, Whitney M. Beck, RDN, LD, CD, and Jennifer B. Scharffer, MBA, RDN, LD, CD
This award recognizes Idaho Academy members who have contributed to the profession of
dietetics through service to the Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Jenn B, Jen S, and Whitney have demonstrated exceptional leadership, collaboration, and
advocacy. These members have worked tirelessly to navigate complex regulatory landscapes,
engage key stakeholders, and ensure that Idaho remains at the forefront of professional licensure
modernization. Their commitment to upholding the integrity of dietetic practice while expanding
opportunities for dietetic professionals exemplifies the core values of our field.
The effort of these three dedicated Idaho Academy members has established a solid foundation for member advocacy and advancement of our profession.
