Becky Sulik is currently the Director of Education at the Rocky Mountain Diabetes & Osteoporosis Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She has been a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics since her days as a student (we won’t say how many years that is). She served on the Idaho affiliate board in the past in various positions including affiliate president, reimbursement rep, and public policy coordinator. She has served as the chair of the Academy’s Nutrition Services Payment Committee and is currently a CDR Commissioner. She is part of an implementation team for her clinic’s patient centered medical home. She designed and implemented a model for using the shared medical appointment with children and teens who have type 1 diabetes. Because of the positive outcomes collected, this group medical visit program remains profitable and effective. In addition to patient care, she is active in the clinic’s efforts to obtain and expand reimbursement for diabetes and other nutrition services. She and her husband Mark have three children. When they are not working, they are busy supporting their children who are on competitive ballroom dance teams.
