The OOOh! Factor – Making Your Messages Memorable and Meaningful

This interactive, motivational session addresses “why” dietitian voices need to be heard in all types of nutrition communications, and contains real-life strategies and solutions that Melissa has created and utilized to help improve her own communication skills on camera, in writing, in social media, and in public speaking. Attendees will practice crafting messages that are more than just memorable – they are meaningful. This hands-on messaging activity can be utilized for presentations, articles and blogs, and media interviews.

  1. Describe core communications skill sets.
  2. Discuss specific ways to improve communication skills; creating more memorable and meaningful messages.
  3. List resources that both nutrition professionals and the public can utilize for credible, evidence-based information
