In an effort to understand the impact that health care reform will have on demand for the services of a dietitian and what these services might look like, the Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is sponsoring a public event on Medicaid Redesign in Coeur d’ Alene on September 9th.
We can expect that nutrition will be included as a component of preventive services and as a therapeutic agent in the management of chronic disease , but what are some of the questions and concerns surrounding our states efforts to write legislation to redesign Medicaid. What is the role of the RD in Medicaid as it is redesigned and implemented as a part of health care reform on the state level? We hope that our advocacy efforts will help answer some of these questions.
Please share this flyer with others in your community.
If you live in Northern Idaho, please plan to join us on the evening of September 9th or on September 10th for a CME event for physicians at noon at Kootenai Medical Center. Contact Tamara Smith for more information on the KMC event (email@example.com).
