Title : Food/Nutrition Mgr-CA
This position is responsible for the operation, leadership, and management of food services, diabetes education, and clinical nutrition services at Cassia Regional Medical Center. Utilizes critical thinking skills and advanced knowledge to implement quality and cost effective services. Ensures that the optimal and appropriate nutrition support is provided for the inpatients, outpatients, and dialysis patients.
Essential Job Duties
•1. Manages Food Services Department and Diabetes Education for facility. Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure a transparent integration of the Nutrition Care Process. Implements best practices to guarantee food safety and to improve patient and customer satisfaction.
•2. Monitors quality and satisfaction scores. Develops and implements plans to achieve desired outcomes.
•3. Establishes financial objectives by assisting in budgeting planning, forecasting, revenue, and measuring productivity while maintaining a viable financial status.
•4. Coordinates, facilitates, and precepts dietetic and coordinated training and mentoring of students.
•5. Provides value-based leadership to establish high functioning teams and operations in an accountable environment, while managing assigned units.
•6. Develops Food Services Department, Diabetes Education, and Clinical Nutrition strategic plans, initiatives, and goals to improve efficiency. Assesses, designs, implements, and evaluates nutritional services systems to initiate change and pursue excellence.
•7. Facilitates all Human Resources functions including: hiring, staffing, training, mentoring, evaluating, conflict resolution, constructive discipline, and termination.
•Entry Rate: $25.13 + D.O.E.

•Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics obtained from an accredited institution. Education is verified.
•Successful completion of an approved American Dietetic Association (ADA) program.
•Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
•Certified Dietitian in the State of Idaho.
•Current Food Handler’s Permit
•Three years of food service management, clinical dietetics, or quality assurance experience.
•Interact with patients and co-workers requiring the employee to verbally communicate information, as well as understand spoken information.
•Operate food service equipment or computer requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
•See and read labels, monitors, and documents.
•Carry, push/pull, and walk while transporting food, supplies, and service equipment.
•Climb, squat, kneel, and lift to clean equipment and reach and retrieve food and supplies.
•Remain standing for long periods of time to perform work.
•Tolerate extremes in temperature such as performing work at a grill or in a refrigerator.
•Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics obtained from an accredited institution. Education is verified.
