This year the Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is celebrating 70 years of our Idaho affiliate! As part of our celebration, we would like to recognize what Idaho Dietetic Interns and Students are doing and where they would like to go after the completion of their dietetic program. Today we are recognizing:
Jenna is a student in the Didactic Program in Dietetics at Idaho State University. After graduation, Jenna would like to become a Sports Dietitian.
“When I came to Idaho State University, I was pursuing a Pre-Physical Therapy major due to my fascination with the human body. After completing Anatomy and Physiology, I realized I was more interested in the metabolism and thermic effect of food than how the body moves. Once I realized how important fueling your body is, I switch my major to Dietetics and plan on pursuing a Master of Science degree with an emphasis in Sports Nutrition. “
