Dairy West is hosting a lunch and learn on September 4th from 11:15am-12:30pm at our Meridian, ID office and I wanted to extend the invite. We have two speakers from the Joslin Diabetes Center coming to present on eating patterns and diabetes prevention (full details below).
Cara Shrager, MPH, RDN, LDN, CDE and Joanna Mitri, MD, MS from the Joslin Diabetes Center will be joining us to discuss:
- Food patterns associated with reduced risk of type 2 diabetes (T2DM)
- Food groups associated with increased risk of T2DM
- Functions of dairy foods and mechanisms for health benefits
- Recommendations from Joslin and ADA regarding eating patterns and diabetes prevention
