Idaho Academy Members,
The Nominating Committee requests your assistance in helping identify future leaders for the Idaho Academy. Your input is critical to our success in selecting candidates for our ballot who will ensure a viable future for the Academy and profession.
The deadline for nominations is November 6, 2015. Positions available are:
- President-elect: 3 year term
- Treasurer: 2 year term
- Nominating Committee (2 positions) 2 year term each
- Southeast (Idaho Falls, Pocatello)
- Southwest (Treasure Valley, Magic Valley)
We know there are individuals, such as yourself or coworkers, friends, who would make excellent leaders and we ask your help in submitting their names to the Nominating Committee.

Position description from Idaho Academy Bylaws
President-Elect. The President-Elect will serve for one (1) year, and at the end of this term, will assume the office of President and then Past President the following year (for a total of 3-year time commitment). The President-Elect will: support the President in leading the Academy towards its strategic direction and values; serve as a voting member of the Board of Directors; present a written proposal for the strategic plan and budget for term as President for approval by the Board; be Chair of the planning the annual educational meeting of the membership; and perform the functions of the office of President in the absence or disability of the President.
Treasurer. The Treasurer will serve a twp-year term. The Treasurer will be the chief financial officer of the Academy. The Treasurer will serve as a voting member of the Board of Directors; formulate and audit the financial records by Academy Central Office; assist the President-Elect in formulating the annual budget for the following Academy year, and report the financial status of the Academy to the Board of Directors and the membership. This position should have an understanding of general accounting principles as well as comfortable with Excel spreadsheets.
Nominating Committee Members. Members of the Nominating will serve a two (2) year term. Nominating Committee members will serve as voting members of the Board of Directors. Members will be elected in alternate years so that at least one (1) Nominating Committee Member continues on the Committee each year.
