Join us on Thursday, April 20th with nutritional physiologist, Heather Leidy, PhD in a discussion regarding Tick Tock – Does Timing of Food Consumption Matter? At the end of this presentation, you will be able to identify whether scientific evidence supports lay press statements that eating more frequently (in smaller portions) is beneficial for improved appetite control, satiety, and weight management, discuss the possibility of benefits of eating more frequently (snacking) on other meaningful outcomes such as energy, mood, and cognitive function and analyze interactions between increased eating frequency and increased dietary protein.
Join us on Friday, April 21st, with Ainsley Malone, MS, RDN, LD, CNSC, FAND, FASPEN in Addressing Malnutrition: Best Practices in Nutrition Screening and Assessment. In this session, she will discuss how Improved recognition and treatment of malnutrition by the RDN and health care team will improve outcomes of hospitalized patients. At the end of this session you will be able to: Outline the prevalence of hospital-related malnutrition and its impact on outcomes, review the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/A.S.P.E.N. Consensus Criteria for diagnosing malnutrition and describe the process for implementing in hospital settings and describe the opportunities for success in malnutrition documentation.
